Snagging & Defect Management

Dome Consulting are proud to announce the launch of their brand new snagging & defect management system, namely iSnag. The solution comprises a powerful web-based reporting dashboard and snag data repository, which forms part of the Dome Connect product, as well as a mobile application (for tablets and smart phone devices, e.g. iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone) which allows any authorised member of the project team to raise new snags and clear snags whilst out on site. The user can record video clips directly from the mobile device as well as photos, voice and text descriptions. The app includes intelligent drawings to illustrate the location of snags for each level, zone or other defined space. The iSnag solution enables a completely paperless and administration-free snagging and inspection process.

Practical Completion was successfully achieved for the Draper's Gardens fit out project. The Dome Connect system and Dome's O&M management services were selected by the client Blackrock and Mace Como to deliver the record documentation for the project. The Dome Connect system will now be adopted by the client's FM team to manage and operate the building.

Dome Consulting have been appointed by the Abu Dhabi Investment Council to provide Commissioning and Documentation Management services for their new Head Quarters development in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The 25-storey twin office towers in Abu Dhabi will accommodate over 1000 employees and is due for completion late 2011.

The Dome Connect system has been selected by ADIC to drive the procurement, approval and delivery of all Operation and Maintenance manuals, record drawings, Asset data and Testing & Commissioning documentation for the project. Dome Connect will then serve as the FM platform for the ADIC maintenance team post completion.

Dome Consulting have been appointed Commissioning Managers and Technical Authors for the Nomura bank fit out project due for completion December 2010. Como Interiors, a subsidiary of Mace, are the fit-out contractor for the project.

The Dome Connect system is to be used to procure and deliver the project H&S File, all Operation & Maintenance manuals, the Building Log Book, BREEAM Building User Guide and Asset Register database that will serve as the building management platform for the Nomura FM team post completion.

Dome Connect's Commissioning Management toolset will provide transparency and focus to the Commissioning and handover of the project.
